A Fort Worth-based logistics firm is moving its headquarters to Grapevine.
Pilot Thomas Logistics, a petroleum and industrial products transport firm, has leased a new office and warehouse location at the northwest corner of DFW International Airport.
The more than 70-year-old company was previously based northeast of downtown Fort Worth.
Pilot Thomas has now leased more than 45,000 square feet of space in the DFW Mustang Park business campus near State Highway 121.
The company started looking for a new location late last year.
“We’ve worked with them in some sort of capacity for three years,” said Grant Pruitt of Whitebox Real Estate. “It is a very strategic move for them.”
Pilot Thomas’ current Fort Worth headquarters building just houses office operations.
“Their goal with this headquarters relocation was to be able to expand their business,” said Whitebox Real Estate’s Jade Scott. “The goal was to have a location with the corporate office and operations.
“We had to find the perfect geographic location,” he said. “They are going to be able to achieve more visibility with this site.”
The new building Pilot Thomas is moving to is located near major freeways including State Highways 360 and 114, Interstate 635 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway.
DFW Mustang Park is marketed by Dallas real estate firm Holt Lunsford Commercial. Holt Lunsford’s Canon Shoults negotiated the Pilot Thomas lease with Scott, Pruitt and David Harris of Whitebox.
